It was a big night for Nigeria, Zimbabwe and Namibia as Darey Art Alade (Nigeria), Gal Level (Namibia) and Buffalo Souljah (Zimbabwe) each won two awards at the 2009 Channel O Music Video Awards which took place at the Carnival City in Gauteng on Thursday October 29th. Nigeria managed to take home five awards while South African musicians lost out with only Khuli taking home the Best Newcomer award. (more…)

During R Kelly recent visit to Nigeria for the 2009 ThisDay Music Festival, R.Kelly stated he has never listened to Naija Music but he will love to discover it and hear what it sounds like. That statement alone raised a lot of bars on how him and 2face worked and recorded together the hot track song “Flex” that was in 2face unstoppable album.
