Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has become the first African artist to be signed to Akon’s Konvict Music Africa label. According to AmeyawDebrah.com, the signing was made official at a press conference in Ghana on Saturday, February 6. One of Ghana’s reigning hiplife artists, Tic Tac has launched his 6th album titled, ‘The Tenth Day’ to mark his 10th year in the game. Tic Tac describes the new album, which features productions by likes of Keynote (Nigeria), Jam Master Jay, Seven (USA), Quick Action and several others as a classic. “It is lyrically strong. Production wise, it’s second to none and I think it is a fantastic and classic album”.

OBAMA: Good afternoon, everybody. It is a great honor for me to be in Accra and to speak to the representatives of the people of Ghana. I am deeply grateful for the welcome that I’ve received, as are Michelle and Malia and Sasha Obama. Ghana’s history is rich, the ties between our two countries are strong, and I am proud that this is my first visit to sub-Saharan Africa as president of the United States of America.I want to thank Madam Speaker and all the members of the House of Representatives for hosting us today.
